About the project
Distinguished by clean lines, decorative minimalism and a contemporary sensibility, this home was created for a young couple with very precise requirements. The result is a modern space that still feels cosy: elegant, welcoming and low-maintenance, with rose-gold accents and colour lending it character. The project is an exact reflection of the owners' personality, its cheerful yet calming hues and textures bringing joy to every room.
You're greeted at the entrance by a neatly detailed front door with a capsule-shaped opening, setting a seamlessly minimal and elegant tone. A shade of blue washes across a third of the space to bring a sense of calm, and even the wall hangings stay in tune with the theme.
In the living area, a subtle coral sofa adds the perfect splash of colour amid a grey-and-blue setting, while onyx dining and centre tables lend an air of richness. A characteristic hanging light and full-length mirrors make the space livelier, and a grey textured wall ties the open-plan living and dining together. Drawing on Indian culture and its vibrant colours, the living-room mandir blends concrete texture with soft furnishings for a contemporary Indian touch.
The bedroom is everything a bedroom should be: trendy and practical. White and blue are juxtaposed with playful form, pattern and texture for a contemporary, multigenerational feel, while rose-gold accents add character and a full-height sliding wardrobe lends the compact room a majestic presence.
