The homes around Swargate
Swargate is a crossroads more than a neighbourhood. The bus stand, the metro station and the junction of Shankar Sheth Road, Satara Road and Tilak Road sit at its centre, with Parvati, Mukund Nagar, Gultekdi and Salisbury Park around it and the Nehru Stadium a short walk away. Homes here are mostly in apartment buildings put up thirty or more years ago, with a growing number of redevelopment towers replacing them, and a few older wada-style homes still standing in the lanes closer to the peths. Families tend to have lived here for a long time. That makes the work here personal: a home that has to keep its familiarity while finally getting the light, storage and kitchen it has needed for years.

Re-planning an older flat near Swargate
Older Swargate flats share a few problems. The kitchen is closed off at the back, a passage eats space between rooms, bathrooms are small with old plumbing, and the wiring was never meant for ACs, induction hobs and home offices. Light is often limited because the building next door is close. As architects we start by checking which walls are structural and which can go, then look at opening the kitchen to the dining space, folding the passage into a room, and bringing in daylight through glazed partitions where a solid wall doesn't need to be solid. Electrical and plumbing are replaced while the walls are open, so the new home isn't built on old services.
3BHK, 4BHK and wada-style homes in Swargate
Larger Swargate homes come in three kinds: generous 3 and 4BHK flats in the older buildings near Parvati and Salisbury Park, new redevelopment flats and penthouses near the metro, and the few wada-style homes still standing towards the peths. A 3BHK or 4BHK here often houses three generations, so we plan a bedroom with an attached bathroom for elders on the quieter side, a pooja room that is part of the home rather than squeezed into a corner, and a living room that seats a full family gathering. In redevelopment flats and penthouses we rework the builder plan before possession, and in older homes we re-plan the layout and renew services first. You receive a fixed, itemised quote after the site visit.

Renovating while you stay close to Swargate
Most of our central-Pune work is renovation in buildings where neighbours are close and lanes are narrow. Material deliveries have to be timed around traffic on Satara Road and Shankar Sheth Road, and old societies often have tight rules on working hours. We plan the sequence so demolition and civil work finish first, then carpentry and finishing follow without gaps. If you are moving out temporarily, we keep the schedule tight so you are not paying rent elsewhere for longer than needed. If you are staying, we phase the work room by room and seal off the active area from the rest of the home.
Shops, clinics and offices around Swargate junction
Swargate's commercial frontage along Satara Road and Shankar Sheth Road is full of clinics, showrooms and small offices in older buildings. These spaces need careful planning around existing columns, low ceilings and old electrical supply. We redesign them for how customers move through and staff work, upgrade services, and finish them in a way that suits a busy central-Pune street.

Interior design in Swargate, your questions
Older Swargate flats usually need civil, electrical and plumbing work before interiors, so we price that separately in the quote and you can see where the money goes. At a premium finish, a 3BHK typically runs ₹25–35 lakh, a 4BHK or penthouse ₹48–70 lakh, and a villa or bungalow ₹70 lakh to ₹1.5 crore. You get a fixed, itemised quote after the first site visit in Swargate.

Yes. Alongside Swargate we regularly take on projects across nearby Pune localities including Shukrawar Peth, Parvati, Sahakar Nagar, Bibwewadi.
Yes, across Swargate and central Pune including the redeveloped towers near the metro. As an architect-led studio we can rework a flat's layout, not just refinish it.
Often, yes. We study what the structure allows, then reopen the plan where possible and design cleverly around what's fixed: bringing an old flat up to date without losing its character.
Yes. Many are handed over with a standard builder layout; getting us in before fit-out lets us improve flow, light and storage while it's still easy.
Before the builder finalises your flat if possible, otherwise as soon as you know the handover date. We can review the plan you've been offered, suggest changes the developer may accept, and have the interior design ready so work starts at possession.
Yes, and in most older buildings it should be. We check the condition on the first visit. Replacing concealed wiring and pipes while walls are open is far cheaper than breaking new finishes later.
